PG&E plans 200MW San Jose data center campus

- Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) is collaborating with Westbank to develop a 200MW data center campus in downtown San Jose. This initiative includes three data centers and over 4,000 residential units. The project will incorporate a district energy system to utilize excess heat from the data centers for nearby buildings, aiming to address the demand for AI-driven infrastructure and housing while promoting sustainability. PG&E also deployed Nvidia hardware at Diablo Canyon nuclear plant for AI-based operational efficiency.
