Microsoft acquires 240 acres in Kenosha, Wisconsin, for data center development

- Microsoft has purchased 240 acres of land northwest of Interstate 94 and Highway 142 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, for a data center project. This acquisition is near Microsoft's existing Mount Pleasant project, where construction was paused earlier this year to evaluate scope and technological changes. The Kenosha site is already zoned for data center development. In November 2024, Navix Engineering filed an application for a four-building data center campus on this land, with each facility spanning 250,000 square feet and including an onsite substation.
